Jargon Reader® for Java™

Jargon Reader® for Java™ is an end user deployment system that handles all user interactions and provides fast, efficient communications with host procedures, by executing applications developed with Jargon Writer® or dynamically constructed XML modules.

Jargon Reader applications can be run on any client computer system that supports Java version 1.2 or higher, either as a standalone application that uses the Java Runtime Environment (JRE), or as an applet that uses the Java Plug-In to run in a Web browser such as Netscape™ or Internet Explorer™.

Written entirely in Java, Jargon Reader uses a combination of industry-standard interfaces that allow you to easily add custom and third party Java beans and classes to tailor the environment as much or as little as desired. 4GL and SQL Developers can create fully functional Java applets or applications without writing in Java.

Java developers can build this foundation to produce more consistent, supportable Java extensions.
