If you are having problems cradling and connecting when using Active Sync or Windows Mobile Device Center, and you've not had issues before or the mobile device connects to some other desktop with no problems, try the following:

(in order from least to most invasive)

1. Remove and then re-insert the USB cable. Wait a about a minute to see if it connects.

If this doesn't fix the problem:

2. Perform a warm reset on the mobile device.

If this doesn't fix the problem:

3. Perform a re-boot on the desktop.

If this doesn't fix the problem:

4. (most radical) Un-install (i.e. remove) Active Sync or Mobile Device Center, reboot the desktop, then reinstall Active Sync or Mobile Device Center, see our kbase at: http://www.jargonsoft.com/support/knowledgebase.php?article=62
