How to make a wi-fi connection at McDonalds using WM6.5

Here is how to make a wi-fi connection at McDonalds using a WM6.5 device such as Symbol MC65 or ES400

1. Tap the Settings icon:


2. Tap the Connections icon:


3. Tap the Connections icon:


4. Tap the Wi-Fi button to turn on the wi-fi:


5. Tap the Menu button (lower right on screen), then choose wi-fi settings:


6. You should see an "Attwifi" wi-fi source. Tap and HOLD to bring up the menu to Connect:




7. When the connection is made, you'll see a connection confirmation on the screen:


8. Now, go back to the main screen. Launch Pocket Internet Explorer:


9. You'll see the following page:


10. Tap the round "....." icon on lower right. It will bring up a bar to magnify the screen. Tap and move the slider upward:


11. You should see the page more clearly. Tape the "Free Connection" button:


12. You'll now see the following screen. Again, use the magnify icon like before to make the page larger and easier to read:




13. Be sure to agree to conditions by tapping the checkbox:


14. You'll see the following screen. Tap Yes button (lower left part of screen):


15. You should see the following screen when the connection is ready to use:


14. Otherwise, create the outgoing COM port by tapping "New Outgoing Port":


You do not have to keep the browser open to continue the connection. Run ForceField per usual.
